The 6th annual 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day Races!

The 5K is sold out; limited spots remain in the 1 mile and 10K races.

 

Register today for this fantastic event – ranked one of the top 5 Thanksgiving Day races in America…All proceeds from the race are donated to the annually selected charity partners.

Race shirt sizes are not guaranteed if you register after Nov. 10.

 

 

Recognized as one of the top 10 Thanksgiving Day races in America by Southern Living Magazine and Active.com, this is a fantastic way to get the whole family moving and enjoy the spirit of Thanksgiving.
The 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day Race Series is a 501c3 event. Our mission is to raise money for local charities in Bay, Walton and Okaloosa counties. To date, the series has raised more than $200,000 for local families and children in need.
The 30A 10K Thanksgiving Day Race Series has three days of fun for the whole family so come out and enjoy all the festivities.

2017 30A 10K Schedule:

Day One: Wednesday, Nov. 22
  • Packet Pick Up and Race Expo at 30Avenue in Inlet Beach.
    • Noon to 7:00pm
    • Back by popular demand, our race expo features more than 30 vendors offering everything from running goods to local specialties perfect for holiday gifts.
    • Special Coupons and Race Swag from our sponsors
    • Deals on Thanksgiving Day meals at local restaurants and pre-ordered dinners
    • Live Music and Games
    • Shopping, food and fun at 30Avenue, the latest shopping experience in South Walton

 

Day Two: Thursday, Nov. 23 – RACE DAY!
  • 10K Race kicks off at 7:30am
  • 5K Race starts at 7:45 am
  • 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 9:30am
    • All races begin and end at downtown Rosemary Beach, Fla.
    • Both lanes of Highway 30A will be closed from Rosemary Beach to Watersound during the race from 7am-10am.
    • Parking locations are: 30Aveneue, Shades, Rosemary Beach (very limited), Alys Beach and Seacrest Beach. Keep in mind that vehicles parked along the race route will not be able to exit the parking area until Highway 30A reopens at 10am.

 

Day Three: Friday, Nov. 24
  • The 30A 10K kicks off its latest event – South Walton Sip & Stretch
    • After a day of shopping and exploring South Walton, visitors can join us at 30Avenue for an event to add even more incentive to join in and spend the weekend in our southern beach paradise!
    • Our newest Friday event is free to those who register via Active.com.
    • Otium & 30Avenue will host a restorative yoga program followed by signature 30A 10K cocktail specials and wine discounts from our partners at Amici 30A at 4 PM.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where and When is packet pick up and on-site registration?

Wednesday November 22 from Noon-7pm at 30Avenue’s Event Space [30A Venue] in Inlet Beach. The Event Space is located above Freshii’s on the second floor of 30Avenue.

Can I bring the whole family to packet pick up and on-site registration?

Yes! Wednesday, November 22 from Noon-7pm we have FREE live music, special shopping deals, a silent auction, free food and drink tastings, horse-drawn carriage rides, face painting, balloon artists, a Facetime photo booth, and much more!

Can I register at packet pick up on Wednesday?

Yes, but we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible. Last year, the event sold out.
Registration is open Wednesday at packet pick up from noon-7pm.

Can I register or puck up my packet on Race Day?

No. There will be no race day registration. We will offer very limited race day packet pick up for emergencies only. We will make every effort to accommodate people traveling into the area race day or having travel delays. Please make every effort possible to pick up your packet on Wednesday November 22nd.

Where do we park on race day?

Parking is available at 30Avenue, Shades, Alys Beach and Seacrest Beach. We have limited parking at Rosemary Beach.
We strongly encourage you to arrive at a minimum an hour before the race, at 6:30am, to find parking. Highway 30A will be closed to traffic at 7am.

If you are arriving after 7am for the 1 Mile Fun Run, please note that 30A will be closed. Please park at 30 Avenue and walk over to the race start.

When does highway 30A close and reopen?

Highway 30A will be closed to traffic for the safety of our runners Thanksgiving morning from 7am-10am. Any runners still on the course after 10am will be asked to move to the bike path to finish the race.

When does the 10K race start?

At 7:30am in Rosemary Beach town center

When does the 5K race start?

At 7:45am in Rosemary Beach town center

When does the 1 Mile Fun Run start?

At 9:30am in Rosemary Beach town center

Can I run with headphones, a stroller or my dog?

For safety reasons headphones are discouraged and we require that all strollers start in the back of the race. We do not allow dogs on the road in the 10K, 5K, or 1 Mile Fun Run.

What do I get for my entry?

In addition to your proceeds going toward four amazing charities; All runners receive a premium quality eco-friendly Greenlayer race T-shirt, a reusable bag, special discounts and coupons in the swag bag and Virtual Race Bag, access to the post-race breakfast, a custom designed finishers medal, and lots of bragging rights at Thanksgiving dinner later that day.

Can my family come out and play while I run the race?

Yes! We love spectators. They are welcome to enjoy the post-race breakfast, Facetime photo booth, race vendor shopping, and grab a photo with “Lucky” the 30A 10K Turkey mascot.
If they want to volunteer, we can also put them to work.

Do you give out age group awards?

Awards include male and female prizes for overall, master and grand master categories. We also go three deep in the following age groups for the 5K and 10K: Under 10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+

All finishers for the 10K, 5K and 1 Mile races receive a signature keepsake medal.
