SANTA ROSA BEACH (June 3, 2014) – The 30A 10K & One Mile Fun Run is pleased to announce that the third annual charity race will take place on November 27, 2014 and grant applications are now being accepted for non-profit beneficiaries of the fundraising efforts. The 30A 10K is committed to supporting local non-profits and all proceeds from the race are donated to this grant fund. Submit all paperwork to info@30A10K.com by Noon on Friday, June 13, 2014.

Since the first race in 2012, the 30A 10K race has donated $58,000 to Gulf Coast area charities. Last year Donations 4 Danny, Food for Thought Outreach Inc., and Lighthouse Family Retreat were the charity beneficiaries of the fundraising efforts.

“We have a lofty goal for this year’s 30A 10K charity race. We want to raise at least $60,000 for the selected charities to share,” said Karen Meadows, the Race Director of the 30A 10K and One Mile Fun Run. “It’s a big goal, but with the continued support of our amazing volunteers, generous local business sponsors, and enthusiastic racers who turn up year after year to run in South Walton, we think it’s possible!”

Mark your calendars! The upcoming 30A 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Rosemary Beach, Florida.

This year, the Road Runners Club of America, the largest and oldest running club nationally, selected the 30A 10K to be the Florida Championship 10K Race.

“This special honor is sure to draw some fast runners from across the country and make this year’s race one for the record books,” said Amy Stoyles, the 30A 10K and One Mile Fun Run co-race director. “We are thrilled to receive this high achievement from the Road Runners Club of America.”

In an effort to keep race registration affordable for all participants, the 30A 10K relies upon local business sponsors.  The 30A 10K offers corporate sponsorships ranging from $500 to $4,000. If interested, please contact the 30A 10K race team at info@30a10k.com for this opportunity

Early registration opens July 1, 2014 at http://30A10K.com.
