2014 30A 10K Biggest “Thank You” Ever

2014 30A 10K Biggest “Thank You” Ever

BD1A1634This past Thanksgiving Day, the 3rd annual 30A 10K and 1-Mile Fun Run rallied nearly 3,000 locals and guests to come together and give back to the community. Thanks to all these volunteers, runners, and supporters, this year was our biggest and best yet! This year, we raised over $45,000 for local charities; Children’s Advocacy Center, Donations for Danny, and The Shelter House. The 30A 10K & 1-Mile Fun Run organizers would like to sincerely thank all the local business owners, volunteers, and participants whose selfless generosity made this charity race possible and so successful.

Beautiful weather the morning of the race contributed to excellent running conditions, resulting in many great times. Line Lauritsen beat her previous year’s record-braking time of 38:45:38 by over a minute, coming in at 37:30:85. In his first RRCA State Championship Race, Riley Markel secured 1st place overall in the male division at 35:44:55, a remarkable feat at such a young age.

With his son-in-law by his side, Eddie inspired us all as he triumphantly crossed the finish line.
