30A 10K 2016 FAQ:

Where and When is packet pick up and on-site registration?
Wednesday November 23rd from Noon-7pm at 30Avenue’s Event Space [30A Venue] in Inlet Beach. The Event Space is located above Freshii’s on the second floor of 30Avenue.

Can I bring the whole family to packet pick up and on-site registration?
Yes! Wednesday November 23rd from Noon-7pm we have FREE live music, special shopping deals, a silent auction, free food and drink tastings, horse-drawn carriage rides, face painting, balloon artists, a Facetime photo booth, and much more!

Can I register at packet pick up or the day of the race?
Yes, but we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible as the race may sell out.
Registration is open Wednesday at packet pick up from noon-7pm.
Limited Registration is open on race day from 6-7am [we may be sold out]

When and where is the Silent Auction?
The Silent Auction takes place Wednesday November 23rd from noon-6:30pm and will be located inside the 30Avenue event space [30A Venue] along with Packet Pick Up and on-site registration.

Where do we park on race day?
Parking is available at 30Avenue, Shades, Alys Beach and Seacrest Beach. We have limited parking at Rosemary Beach.
We strongly encourage you to arrive at a minimum an hour before the race, at 6:30am, to find parking. Highway 30A will be closed to traffic at 7am.

When does highway 30A close and reopen?
Highway 30A will be closed to traffic for the safety of our runners Thanksgiving morning from 7am-9:30am. Any runners still on the course after 9:30am will be asked to move to the bike path to finish the race.

When does the 10K race start?
At 7:30am in Rosemary Beach town center

When does the 1 Mile Fun Run start?
At 7:35 am in Rosemary Beach town center

Can I run with headphones, a stroller or my dog?
For safety reasons headphones are discouraged and we require that all strollers start in the back of the race. We do not allow dogs on the road in the 10K or 1 Mile Fun Run.

What do I get for my entry?
In addition to your proceeds going toward four amazing charities; All runners receive a premium quality eco-friendly Greenlayer race T-shirt, a reusable Whole Foods grocery bag, special discounts and coupons in the swag bag and Virtual Race Bag, a complimentary water bottle, access to the post-race breakfast, a custom designed finishers medal, and bonus points when they enter the Black Friday Shopping Spree Contest.

Can my family come out and play while I run the race?
Yes! We love spectators. They are welcome to enjoy the post-race breakfast, Facetime photo booth, race vendor shopping, and grab a photo with “Lucky” the 30A 10K Turkey mascot.
If they want to volunteer, we can also put them to work.

Do you give out age group awards?
Awards include male and female prizes for overall, master and grand master categories. We also go three deep in the following age groups for the 10K: Under 10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+
We also will be giving out special awards for the overall boy and girl in the 1 Mile Fun Run.

How do we enter the 30A 10K Black Friday Shopping Spree Contest?
The contest is FREE and Open to the Public. We have prizes ranging from a $750 gift basket and gift cards to Silver Sands Premium Outlets to gift cards from Rosemary Beach Merchants Association, 30A.com, Barefoot Princess/Island Clothiers in Watercolor, and Visit South Walton.
Simply tag the 30A 10K, the retailer and yourself shopping, eating or working out in South Walton on Black Friday on Facebook. Winners will be announced that weekend on the 30A 10K Facebook page.
